Episode 30: What Should You Include On Your About Page for Your Business Website?
In this episode of the Business Website Blueprint podcast, I’m sharing what you should include on your website about page.
If you’re a business owner, I want to ask you – how are you nurturing your potential buyers? How are you building that connection and trust with them in order to get them to say yes to working with you or purchasing your products?
In this episode of the Business Website Blueprint Podcast, I’m sharing the number one way to grow your email list from your website.
Quick Disclosure: This blog post contains affiliate links, which means when you click the link to purchase something on this page, it won’t cost you more but I may receive a commission for sharing it with you. Which is great, because I was going to share it with you anyway!
The best way to nurture your potential buyers is to get them on your email list. That way you can send them one or two emails a week where you’re answering their questions, encouraging them, showing them what your products or services can do, and getting them to convert.
You might be wondering, “Okay Arianna, but how do I actually get people to join my email list?” It used to be really easy to just have a spot on your website that said “Join the newsletter” and people would enter in their emails.
However, these days, people don’t want to just join a newsletter for no reason.
They don’t want an inbox full of spam that they don’t care about. This means that the visitors on your website need a reason to join your email list.
The best way to grow your email list from your website is by offering a freebie. That way, when somebody fills out the form with their name and email on your website, they will automatically receive your freebie to their email. Then, that person will be on your email list, and you get to start sending them emails so you can nurture them as you send emails in the future and stay front-of-mind.
Some ideas for a freebie that you can offer on your website are:
These are just a few examples of freebies that you could use to grow your email list from your website, but I’m sure there are many more! Just remember that the goal is to keep it simple. It should give your website visitors a quick win to build that trust with you and makes it easier for them to say yes to actually investing in what you have to offer.
In order to send out your freebie to people who sign up for it, you also need an email management program.
If you don’t have one already, I highly recommend Flodesk. Their email management program is very easy to manage, and it never goes up in price! Many other email management platforms start charging you more as you grow your email list, which just isn’t cool in my opinion. With Flodesk, you never pay more than the original price that you sign up for.
Flodesk also has beautiful branded email templates that you can customize to fit your brand and business. These templates are beautiful and will really catch the eye of your potential clients and customers.

I hope this blog post/episode answered your questions about growing your email list with your website. While it’s not as easy as it used to be, you simply just need to give your website visitors a quick win to build trust with them. When you do this, you will be so surprised by how quickly you can grow your email list and reach many more potential customers and clients.
If you are ready to have a custom website built for you with a freebie synced up and integrated with your email management platform, I invite you to book your VIP Design Day with me. During your free call, we will talk through what your needs for your website are, what the VIP Design Day process looks like, and I’ll answer all of your questions.
