In this episode of the Business Website Blueprint podcast, I’m sharing what you should include on your website about page.
Do you dream of having a custom website that fits exactly what your needs are for your business, but you have no idea how to code and you don’t have the funds yet to outsource to somebody who can build a website from scratch for you?
In this episode of the Business Website Blueprint Podcast, I want to share with you the easiest way that you can DIY your website and have a site for your business that you can be proud of.
Quick Disclosure: This blog post contains affiliate links, which means when you click the link to purchase something on this page, it won’t cost you more but I may receive a commission for sharing it with you. Which is great, because I was going to share it with you anyway!
The Elementor Page Builder is a plugin that syncs with WordPress.org. It is a drag and drop page builder where you drag in different elements, click a couple buttons to customize it, drag in your photos, type in your website copy, click a few buttons to change the colors, move around the positioning however you want, and TA DA! – You have a beautiful, beautiful DIY website for your business.
Elementor is very budget friendly, with only a $50 annual fee, making it super affordable for you, especially if you’re a newer business.
Elementor integrates with WordPress, which I talked in depth about in Episode 6 of the Business Website Blueprint podcast.
If we use the analogy of a house, WordPress would be the walls of your house, and Elementor is the design in the rooms. So Elementor is the visual design builder where you’re going to be able to make your website look absolutely beautiful, make it flow well so that your visitors know exactly where to go when they land on your page, and making it extremely easy for you to maintain.
With Elementor, your website will be fully customizable, so you can drag around sections however you want them organized, you can duplicate a section and drag it to another spot if you need the same kind of layout but different content, and it’s also really easy to update as your business grows and changes.
Need a new page for your website? No problem. With Elementor, you can easily duplicate a page and then use the sections from that page. Just drop in the new content, swap some columns from one side to the other and it will look like a completely brand new page in just a few minutes.
Elementor also gives you the ability to make sure all of your website pages are optimized for all devices. This is crucial, because the majority of your website visitors will be visiting your website from their phones.
If your website is not mobile optimized and it looks like a hot mess when somebody goes there on their mobile device, you are most definitely losing sales.
Elementor makes it really, really easy to toggle between desktop view, tablet view, and mobile view, that way you can make sure everything’s looking the way it needs to on every device.
Elementor also integrates with all of the tech that you use for your business. Whether you’re using Dubsado for your calendar scheduler, Flodesk for your email marketing platform, or any other tech tool, Elementor will very easily integrate with these programs. This way, you don’t have to start a new program that you didn’t need before.
